What's the least I have to do to get a great result?

"What's the least I have to do to get a great result?"

James Hoffman

As a recovered caffeine addict (back in the day I used to think it would be quicker to have a drip in my arm than keep getting up from my desk to go back to the coffee machine), James Hoffman is always insightful and entertaining. His YouTube channel is a fount of information for any coffee lover.

His question in many ways goes to the heart of what productivity means for me, for a couple of reasons:

  • By optimising how you do something it means that you can achieve more with the same amount of effort, or less.

  • You can do more (of this or something else).

Not that you should automatically be doing more, but that's a subject for another day.
